Abuja-based gospel singer and fitness enthusiast, Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, has been arrested after he was found in possession of the severed head of his girlfriend.
Timileyin, who is well known for his talents as a multi-talented gospel singer, prolific songwriter, and vocalist, was reportedly carrying a black nylon bag, with flies following him. Upon being accosted and searched, it was discovered that the bag contained a fresh human head, believed to be his girlfriend’s.

A social media user, who identified herself as Arike, shared the shocking incident online, stating that she witnessed the arrest during a church service. She wrote, “I got the shock of my life as we apprehended a Yahoo ritual with a human head (his girlfriend) inside a nylon close to our church while we were holding service. I thought I only used to watch things like this until I experienced one ‘live’ today.”
In a video shared on social media, Timileyin was heard revealing that he had been in a relationship with the victim for a year. He also stated that during a heated altercation, his girlfriend had tried to stab him, leading to him beheading her in response.
The arrest of the gospel singer has left the public in shock, with many questioning the circumstances surrounding the crime. Authorities have since begun their investigation into the matter.
