Accident Claims Five Lives on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

A devastating accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway has left five people dead—three men and two women.

The crash, which occurred late Sunday night around 11:30 PM near the FATGBEMS bus stop, involved an unmarked Mercedes Benz SUV.

The driver, heading toward Mowe, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a culvert, causing the SUV to overturn. The impact was so severe that all five occupants were thrown from the vehicle, tragically losing their lives on the spot.

A sixth passenger survived with injuries and was quickly taken to AZ Carezone Hospital in Magboro for medical care. The tragic loss has left the families of the victims heartbroken, with their identities now confirmed by the Ogun State Police.

Authorities are urging all drivers to exercise extra caution on the roads to prevent such tragedies from happening again.

The wreckage of the vehicle has been secured by the police, and the bodies of the deceased were taken to Real Divine Hospital in Ibafo. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those affected by this heartbreaking incident.
