Two members of the (NYSC) serving in have been honoured for their outstanding contributions to digital literacy after emerging winners in the (NITDA) Digital Literacy 4All (DL4ALL) national competition.
The award ceremony took place at the NYSC Lagos State Secretariat in Surulere, where the State Coordinator, , presented award cheques to the winners on behalf of NITDA.
Corps members recognised for digital literacy impact
The awardees, Nomamiukor Becky (LA/25A/12745) and Adeyemi Folake Lydia (LA/25A/12746), were recognised for their exceptional participation in the Digital Literacy 4All initiative, a nationwide programme designed to promote digital skills and technology awareness across Nigerian communities.
Becky emerged as the Category B Regional Award winner, while Lydia secured the Category C Regional Award for her contribution to advancing digital literacy within her host community.
Officials said the competition forms part of NITDA’s broader efforts to equip Nigerians with digital knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in a technology-driven economy.
NYSC applauds winners’ dedication
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Salmwang congratulated the corps members for demonstrating commitment, innovation and dedication in promoting digital inclusion.
She noted that their achievements reflect the impact young Nigerians can make when they leverage technology to empower communities.
The NYSC coordinator encouraged the awardees to sustain their passion for excellence and continue contributing to national development through digital empowerment initiatives.

Several NYSC officials were present at the ceremony held at the Lagos Secretariat.
Among them were the Assistant Director of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme, Ehimwenma Itohan, the Head of Community Development Service, Odiekhandu Chioma, and the Personal Assistant to the State Coordinator, Uguru Ezinne.
Also present was the DL4ALL Schedule Officer, Fatoki Bukola, who helped coordinate activities related to the competition.
Officials at the event praised the corps members for their contributions and encouraged more NYSC participants to take advantage of technology-focused programmes that support community development.
