The (NYSC) has announced that its online portal will open for prospective corps members (PCMs) to register for mobilisation between March 12 and March 18, 2026.
The scheme made the announcement in an official notice shared across its social media platforms, urging eligible graduates to complete their registration within the stipulated period.
According to the notice, only graduates whose names appear on the approved Senate or Academic Board lists submitted by their institutions will be eligible to participate in the online registration process.
“Attention, Prospective Corps Members (PCMs), I am happy to inform you that the NYSC portal will be opened for online registration from 12th to 18th March, 2026,” the notice stated.
Eligibility requirements for registration
The scheme emphasised that only graduates whose details have been uploaded by their institutions to the NYSC portal will be allowed to proceed with the registration.
It also advised applicants to carefully verify their personal information before starting the process to avoid complications during mobilisation.
Prospective corps members were specifically urged to ensure that the names on their certificates, Senate list records, and National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) database match exactly.

The NYSC advised applicants to first confirm their records through the Senate list verification portal before completing the online registration.
This step, according to the scheme, is necessary to ensure that only properly documented graduates are mobilised for national service.
FG tightens rules on mobilisation
The registration announcement comes amid new reforms in the education sector aimed at strengthening the credibility of academic records.
Earlier, the Minister of Education, , announced stricter measures to curb certificate fraud and irregular academic documentation.
He warned that graduates without proper documentation would not be eligible for mobilisation under the NYSC scheme.
The minister explained that the Federal Government is improving institutional compliance and academic record management through initiatives such as the Nigeria Education Repository and Data Bank.
About the NYSC scheme
The programme was established in 1973 to promote national unity by deploying Nigerian graduates to serve in states outside their region of origin for one year.
The programme remains one of the country’s most significant youth development initiatives.
