The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has rescheduled the orientation exercise for prospective corps members posted to Enugu and Osun states due to ongoing renovation of camp facilities.
In a statement, the scheme said the orientation programme in the two states will now begin on April 28, 2026, and end on May 18, 2026, placing them one week behind the schedule for other states nationwide.
According to the statement issued by Caroline Embu, the adjustment became necessary to allow for the completion of extensive upgrades being carried out by the respective state governments.
She noted that the renovation is aimed at improving camp facilities for incoming corps members.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the orientation exercise for all other states and the FCT will hold from April 22 to May 12, 2026,” the statement added.
The NYSC urged affected prospective corps members to take note of the revised dates and comply accordingly, while also wishing them safe travels to their states of deployment.
