The Corpers’ Journey Advocacy Network (CJAN) has recorded another major milestone in its mission to empower young Nigerians following the official approval of a strategic partnership with the United Nations Youth Association-Nigeria (UNYA-NG).
The partnership is expected to deepen collaboration in youth leadership, civic engagement, capacity building, education, innovation and sustainable development, while creating more opportunities for Nigerian youths to participate in national and global development initiatives.
The approval was conveyed in an official letter dated July 7, 2026, after UNYA-NG considered and approved CJAN’s strategic partnership proposal submitted on June 18, 2026.
In the letter, UNYA-NG commended CJAN for its growing contributions to national conversations on youth empowerment, education reform, employment, civic responsibility and innovation, noting that the organisation has continued to champion initiatives that promote youth participation in nation-building.
Under the partnership, both organisations will jointly organise conferences, workshops, seminars, leadership summits and Model United Nations programmes in Nigeria and abroad. They will also collaborate on technical support for youth-focused initiatives, civic leadership programmes, advocacy campaigns, mentorship, digital skills development, governance dialogue and community development projects.
The partnership further provides for the inclusion of CJAN leaders and members in UNYA-NG programmes focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), youth advocacy, volunteerism and leadership development.
Likewise, UNYA-NG officials and members will participate in CJAN’s programmes designed to equip corps members, students, graduates and young professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to become active contributors to national development.
Both organisations also agreed to jointly commemorate United Nations international observance days and implement initiatives that promote peace, inclusion, innovation and sustainable development across Nigeria.
Reacting to the development, Founder and Lead Strategist of the Corpers’ Journey Advocacy Network (CJAN), Taiwo Ajayi, described the partnership as a significant milestone in the organisation’s journey to build one of Africa’s most impactful youth advocacy platforms.
He said the collaboration would expand opportunities for young Nigerians through leadership development, policy engagement, mentorship, international exposure and strategic partnerships.
Ajayi noted that CJAN remains committed to working with credible institutions that share its vision of empowering young people and preparing them to become responsible leaders capable of driving sustainable national development.
He added that the partnership with UNYA-NG would strengthen CJAN’s ongoing programmes for corps members, students and graduates while opening new opportunities for collaboration with local and international stakeholders committed to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The strategic partnership represents another major achievement for CJAN as it continues to expand its network of collaborations aimed at promoting youth development, civic responsibility, entrepreneurship, policy advocacy and leadership excellence in Nigeria and beyond.
