The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has issued a public warning over a fraudulent website falsely claiming to be the official portal for registration into its training programmes.
In a public disclaimer released by the Board, NCDMB said the fake website has been circulating across social media and other online platforms, misleading unsuspecting members of the public into believing it is an authorised training registration portal.
The Board clarified that the website is neither owned, operated nor endorsed by NCDMB and advised the public to avoid registering, submitting personal or financial information, or carrying out any transaction through the fraudulent platform.
According to the Board, the only official portal for all NCDMB training programmes and capacity development initiatives is nogicjqs.gov.ng.
NCDMB also reiterated that all its services, including registration for training programmes, are completely free of charge, stressing that it does not request payment for any of its programmes or services.
The Board warned that it would not be responsible for any financial loss, data breach or other damages resulting from the use of unauthorised websites.
It further disclosed that it is collaborating with relevant security and regulatory agencies to investigate the fraudulent website and ensure it is taken down.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and public trust, NCDMB urged members of the public to verify information through its official communication channels and report any suspicious activity.
