The UVRG Business Opportunities Training (B.O.T.) is set to make its Abuja debut with its 6th edition, bringing together students, young entrepreneurs and other young Nigerians for a programme focused on business opportunities, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. at the National Centre for Women Development, Tafawa Balewa Street, Central Business District, Garki, Abuja.
The Abuja edition comes after five editions of the programme were held in Lagos, where the initiative reportedly engaged thousands of young people and students with business opportunities, entrepreneurial pathways, networking and practical knowledge.
Organisers said the move to Abuja is aimed at expanding the programme’s reach and connecting more young Nigerians with opportunities and networks that can support economic productivity and wealth creation.
The event is expected to attract students, young entrepreneurs, graduates, NYSC members, business leaders and youth-focused organisations.
ASSW Network Partners UVRG B.O.T.
The Association for Students Social Welfare (ASSW) Network has also joined the 2026 Abuja edition as an implementing partner.
The organisation is expected to support the mobilisation and implementation of the programme, particularly among students and young people in Abuja.
According to the Association, the partnership is driven by the need to expose students to practical opportunities beyond academic education and equip them with knowledge and connections that can contribute to their economic advancement.
“This partnership represents our shared belief that young people and students must have access to real opportunities, relevant networks, and practical knowledge for economic advancement,” the Association stated.
The organisers said the 6th edition is expected to provide participants with opportunities to learn, network and explore pathways to entrepreneurship and economic participation.
The programme is coming amid ongoing concerns over youth unemployment and the need for stronger entrepreneurship and economic inclusion initiatives in Nigeria.
