The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a new date for the commencement of the suspended 2026 Batch B Stream I Orientation Course for prospective corps members deployed to Niger State.
In a notice released by the scheme, the orientation exercise, which was earlier put on hold, will now commence on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Kubwa, Bwari Area Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to the timetable released by the management, registration of prospective corps members will begin on July 7 and end on July 9, while the swearing-in ceremony has been scheduled for Thursday, July 9.
The scheme also fixed midnight on July 9 as the official cut-off time for registration, stressing that no prospective corps member would be admitted into camp after the deadline.
The orientation course is expected to conclude on Monday, July 27, 2026.
The development brings clarity for thousands of prospective corps members who were affected by the earlier suspension of the Niger State orientation exercise and had been awaiting further directives from the management.
NYSC urged all affected corps members to take note of the revised schedule and make adequate preparations ahead of their arrival at the camp venue in Abuja.
