Edo Diaspora Agency congratulates Collins Idahosa on emergence as first NYCN Diaspora Governor

The Edo State Diaspora Agency has congratulated Ambassador Collins Osazee Idahosa on his emergence as the first-ever Governor in the history of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Diaspora, describing the feat as a landmark achievement for Nigerian youths living abroad.

In a congratulatory message signed by the Director General of the Edo State Diaspora Agency, Dr. (Mrs.) Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor, the agency said Idahosa’s election marked a significant milestone in the evolution of youth leadership within the Nigerian diaspora.

According to the agency, Idahosa also became the first democratically elected Governor of the NYCN Diaspora, a development it said reflected the confidence reposed in him by Nigerian youths across the world.

The statement noted that his emergence was a testament to his longstanding commitment to youth development and his dedication to advancing the interests and welfare of Nigerians in the diaspora.

“I write to heartily congratulate Ambassador Collins Osazee Idahosa on your historic emergence as the first ever Governor in the history of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) and the first democratically elected Governor of the NYCN Diaspora.

“Your emergence highlights a major milestone in the evolution of youth leadership within the diaspora community and reflects the confidence reposed in you by Nigerian youths across the world,” the statement read.

The agency further stated that Idahosa’s achievement underscored his commitment to promoting youth development, describing him as a leader whose capacity for excellence, integrity and innovation had earned him the trust of young Nigerians globally.

“This attainment appraised your longstanding exclusivity and unwavering commitment to youth development and steadfast dedication to promoting the interests and welfare of Nigerians in the diaspora.

“It reflects the confidence that young Nigerians around the world have reposed in your capacity to chart a rare course with excellence, integrity, and innovation,” Ogboro-Okor stated.
Describing Idahosa as an illustrious son of Edo State, the Director General said his emergence had brought honour to the state and Nigerians across the globe.

She expressed optimism that his tenure would promote greater unity among Nigerian youths in the diaspora, deepen youth engagement and foster meaningful collaborations capable of improving their lives.
“As an illustrious son of Edo State, your accomplishment brings immense pride not only to our State but also to Nigerians across the globe.

“We are confident that your tenure will foster greater unity, strengthen youth engagement, and advance meaningful collaborations that will positively impact the lives of Nigerian youths in the diaspora,” the statement added.

The agency also prayed for divine wisdom and strength for the new NYCN Diaspora Governor to successfully discharge the responsibilities of his office.

“It is my earnest prayer that God endows you with wisdom and strength to discharge the responsibilities of your revered office dutifully with laudable impact.

“Once again, I and the entire staff of the Edo State Diaspora Agency felicitate you on this well-deserved and historic victory. We wish you a successful and transformational tenure,” the statement concluded.
