The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released the deployment details for prospective corps members posted to Niger and Sokoto states under the 2026 Batch B Stream II mobilisation exercise.
The announcement means prospective corps members (PCMs) deployed to the two states can now access and print their NYSC call-up letters.
NYSC Enables Call-Up Letter Printing
The NYSC disclosed the development in an announcement shared on its official X handle on Sunday.
The Corps advised affected PCMs to print their call-up letters and make the necessary preparations ahead of the commencement of the orientation programme.
The deployment release comes after the NYSC postponed the start of the orientation course in Niger and Sokoto due to ongoing renovation works at the respective orientation camps.
Orientation Camp Opens August 12
Following the adjustment, the NYSC has scheduled the commencement of the orientation course in both states for Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
The cut-off and swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 14, while the closing ceremony will be held on Tuesday, September 1.
The NYSC had explained that the adjustment was necessary to allow the respective state governments to complete renovation work at the orientation camps.
NYSC Advises Corps Members on Safe Travel
Prospective corps members posted to Niger and Sokoto were advised to plan their journeys carefully ahead of camp.
The Corps particularly urged them to avoid night travel and make adequate arrangements to arrive safely at their destinations.
The latest deployment update allows affected PCMs to proceed with preparations for the three-week orientation programme, which forms the first major phase of their national service year.
