How Ogun Rider Survives Razor Blade Assault in Broad Daylight

In a chilling incident that unfolded in Arepo, Ogun State, a motorcyclist, Ahmed Owolabi, narrowly escaped death after his passenger, Sherif Oyeniyi, attacked him with a razor blade while they were in motion.

The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the event in a statement issued by its spokesperson, CPS Omolola Odutola, on Saturday. The assault reportedly occurred at 4:15 PM near Orange Estate in Arepo.

Ahmed Owolabi, a 27-year-old resident of Onimane Magada, Ibafo, suffered deep cuts to his neck but was rescued and rushed to the hospital in time.

The alarm was raised by a vigilant resident, Alani Muritala, who lives in Shefu Elede, Ibafo. He promptly reported the attack to the police, providing details that helped officers act swiftly.

Muritala recounted that Owolabi was ferrying Oyeniyi to his destination in Arepo when Oyeniyi suddenly pulled out a razor blade and slashed the rider’s neck twice.

Police officers, led by the Divisional Police Officer, arrived quickly at the scene. They provided first aid to Owolabi and transported him to the hospital for medical treatment. The suspect, Oyeniyi, was also arrested at the scene.

Shockingly, Oyeniyi showed no remorse for his actions during interrogation. He admitted to visiting a traditional voodoo doctor before the attack but claimed his behavior was the result of “the devil’s handiwork.” He denied any suggestion that the incident was related to blood rituals or initiation.

According to CPS Omolola Odutola, the Divisional Crime Branch is conducting a thorough investigation into the bizarre act. “The suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” she assured.

Owolabi is currently recovering from his injuries, while the police continue to dig deeper into the motive behind the disturbing attack.
