Officials of the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the FCT Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr. Samson Ateli, at the NYSC Secretariat in Maitama, Abuja.
The visit was aimed at exploring areas where CCECC could support the scheme in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Speaking during the meeting, Mr. Haruna Musa Badar, Deputy General Manager, Human Resources Management, CCECC, said the company was committed to giving back to society and was willing to identify priority needs that would enhance the welfare of corps members in the FCT.
Also, Mr. Pius Kuyambana, Media Officer, CCECC Corporate Culture Department, noted that the proposed partnership would focus on sustainable interventions that could make long-term impacts on corps members.
In his response, Mr. Ateli commended the company for considering the NYSC in its CSR projects, describing the initiative as a step toward improving corps members’ welfare. He highlighted the scheme’s ongoing programmes, including the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED), while noting areas of need at the orientation camp that could benefit from the collaboration.
