In a show of civic responsibility and commitment to service, a Corps Member, Nafisa Nasir Buba-Sirika (FC/24C/0856), has donated an HP laptop to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Federal Capital Territory Secretariat.
Nafisa, who is currently serving with Frontiers Practice Limited in Gaduwa Housing Estate, under the Garki Zone, made the donation as part of her contribution towards enhancing the efficiency of Community Development Service (CDS) coordination and monthly biometric clearance processes at the Local Government level.
While receiving the laptop on behalf of the Secretariat, the NYSC FCT Coordinator, Mr. Samson Ateli, commended Nafisa for her thoughtful gesture and dedication to the ideals of the NYSC Scheme. He noted that the laptop would significantly support the biometric documentation process and other administrative duties in the Garki Local Government Office.
Mr. Ateli encouraged the Corps Member to continue demonstrating such acts of service even after her one-year national assignment, describing her action as a model for others.
Present at the brief handover ceremony were the Zonal Inspector for Garki Zone, Mr. Charles Onyeakazi; the Local Government Inspector for Garki 3, Apo, Mrs. Rukayat Abu; and Nafisa’s husband.
The donation underscores the impact Corps Members can make when they identify and address practical needs within their places of primary assignment and host communities.
