The Federal High Court has affirmed Ambassador Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo as the lawful President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
This decision rejects claims that the council’s certificate was withdrawn and dismisses the appointment of an interim management team.
The ruling by Hon. Justice D.U. Okorowo upheld NYCN’s incorporation certificate. The matter is currently under appeal, with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and the Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD) as respondents.
NYCN said any attempt to change its leadership is unlawful. Members, state chapters, and affiliates were urged to ignore conflicting announcements and focus on unity and progress under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The council emphasized that the leadership of Ambassador Sukubo remains valid and binding until a higher court rules otherwise.
