The Federal Government is set to launch tolling operations on the Abuja-Akwanga-Lafia-Makurdi Expressway this Tuesday under the Highways Development and Management Initiative (HDMI) Phase II Value Added Concession (VAC).
The Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, will officially inaugurate the tolling system at the Garaku Toll Station, located at KM 32 along the Keffi-Akwanga section of the highway.
The expressway features four toll stations, a move that has sparked concerns among road users and transport operators regarding its potential impact on transportation costs.
