The Enugu State Government has prohibited the pasting of posters on any outdoor surface or space without official approval.
Defaulters face a fine of up to N50 million.
Frank Aninwike, General Manager of Enugu State Structures for Signages and Advertisement Agency (ENSSAA), announced the directive in Enugu on Thursday.
He emphasized that it is unlawful to display posters on public or private structures without written approval from ENSSAA. Political parties, churches, schools, advertisers, and marketers must comply.
The agency cited Sections 4(1,g), 33, and 34(4,9) of the ENSSAA Law, 2016, granting it authority to regulate outdoor advertisements.
