The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has dismissed recent social media claims instructing Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) to visit State Secretariats to collect their Call-Up Numbers.

In a statement issued yesterday, the NYSC Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, urged the public to ignore the misleading information, clarifying that it did not originate from the Scheme.

Embu reiterated that all official communication with PCMs is conducted through their personal dashboards and recognized social media channels, such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and Threads.

“The Management of the National Youth Service Corps has been alerted to misleading information being spread by some individuals, asserting that Prospective Corps Members who have yet to receive their Call-Up Numbers should go to the State Secretariats for this purpose,” the statement read.

The NYSC advised all PCMs awaiting their Call-Up Numbers to exercise patience, regularly check their dashboards, and stay updated through official NYSC social media platforms.
