The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called for the release of popular TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo, known as SeaKing, who was arrested over alleged cyberbullying.

Speaking at the RCCG February Holy Ghost Service in Simawa, Ogun State, Adeboye referenced the year’s prophecies, emphasizing that mockers of the divine would become more vocal and aggressive. He stated that SeaKing’s actions were merely fulfilling those prophecies and questioned why he was arrested.

“I heard that there was someone who lambasted me thoroughly because I asked my people to fast and pray for 100 days. I did not ask him to fast. I was only talking to my children,” Adeboye said. “I was told that some people are so angry that they went and arrested him. Release him! He is fulfilling prophecy.”

SeaKing’s Arrest and Previous Charges

SeaKing was arrested in December 2024 following a viral video in which he criticized President Bola Tinubu, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun. He was arraigned on charges of treason, cyberstalking, and inciting public disorder.

A magistrate’s court granted him bail set at ₦500,000 with two sureties in the same amount. However, his continued detention has sparked controversy, with Adeboye’s remarks adding a new dimension to the case.

Adeboye Warns Against Fire Outbreaks

During the service, Adeboye also reiterated warnings from his New Year prophecies, urging Nigerians to pray against fire outbreaks, storms, and floods.

“In Nigeria, we have seen many incidences of fire outbreaks—tankers, schools burnt—we must pray. I believe that those of you who call me ‘Daddy’ should pay more attention when I tell you ‘God said’… please, don’t joke with fire this year.”

His comments come amid rising concerns over increasing fire incidents across the country, aligning with global trends in extreme weather and disasters.
