In a shocking incident, armed bandits attacked the Chikakore area of Kubwa in Bwari Area Council, Abuja, abducting a family of three from their home.
The victims, identified as Adefija Michael Akinropo, his wife, and their son, were taken during the midnight raid on Monday.
According to eyewitnesses, the assailants, numbering about 30 and armed with AK-47 rifles, also kidnapped Michael’s elder brother. The bandits further targeted a nearby poultry farm, abducting another man and injuring his wife.
Local residents revealed that police officers from the Byazin station responded to the incident, but as of now, the kidnappers have not made contact with the victims’ families.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, assured that investigations are ongoing to ensure the safe return of the abductees.
