The Students Chamber of Commerce Nigeria (SCCNigeria) and the Association for Students’ Social Welfare Nigeria (ASSW) have congratulated Dist. Comr. Akinteye Babatunde Afeez following his emergence as the National President-Elect of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
In a joint statement issued by both organizations, the groups described his election as a reflection of his dedication, leadership qualities, and long-standing commitment to the welfare and advancement of Nigerian students.
The organizations noted that his emergence at a critical time in the nation’s student movement demonstrates the confidence and trust reposed in him by students across the country.
According to the statement, SCCNigeria and ASSW expressed optimism that the incoming NANS administration under Akinteye Babatunde Afeez would usher in purposeful leadership, stronger advocacy, and impactful initiatives that would benefit Nigerian students nationwide.
The groups further reaffirmed their readiness to collaborate with the president-elect in promoting student empowerment, entrepreneurship, innovation, and social welfare initiatives across tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
They added that both organizations remain committed to supporting policies and programmes that would strengthen student engagement, leadership development, and economic opportunities for young Nigerians.
“Your emergence is a victory for Nigerian students and a recognition of your consistency and dedication to service. We are confident that your administration will deliver meaningful progress for the student community,” the statement read.
The organizations wished the NANS President-Elect success as he prepares to assume office and pledged their continued support toward advancing the collective interests of Nigerian students.
