A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member serving in Jigawa State, Miss Samson Justina Ojone, has undertaken a series of community development projects aimed at improving learning conditions and promoting environmental sanitation at Government Day Secondary School, Dr. Nuhu, Dutse.

Miss Ojone, 26, a graduate of English and Literary Studies from Prince Audu Abubakar University, Anyigba, Kogi State, is serving under code JG/25B/0341.
As part of her Community Development Service (CDS), she renovated a dilapidated toilet facility, transforming it into a clean and functional convenience for female students of the school.
She also constructed a modern incinerator to ensure the proper disposal and burning of refuse generated within the school premises, a move intended to promote a cleaner and healthier learning environment.
In addition to the infrastructure projects, the corps member organised a career guidance seminar for Senior Secondary School (SS3) students. The seminar focused on helping students make informed decisions on subject combinations for JAMB, WAEC and NECO examinations in line with their intended courses of study and career aspirations in tertiary institutions.
The projects were commissioned by the NYSC Jigawa State Coordinator, Alhaji Bala Mohammed Baba, who was represented by the Zonal Inspector for Dutse, Engr. Jamilu Yahuza Kutama. Speaking at the event, the coordinator described the projects as timely and impactful, commending Miss Ojone for being a worthy ambassador of the NYSC Scheme and her family.
He urged other corps members to emulate her by identifying critical needs in their host communities and executing projects capable of making lasting impacts.
The Principal of Government Day Secondary School, Dr. Nuhu, Dutse, Alhaji Uba Idris, expressed appreciation for the projects, assuring that the renovated facility and incinerator would be properly maintained for the benefit of students and staff.
Also present at the commissioning ceremony were Mr. Wakala Abass of the CDS Branch, members of staff of the school, and other invited guests.
