Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has dissolved all political appointees in his administration.
The announcement was made on Friday, February 7, during a valedictory session held at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House in Lafia.
Governor Sule expressed gratitude to the outgoing Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Personal Assistants for their service and contributions to the development of the state. He assured that some may be considered for reappointment in other capacities.
In a related development, the governor swore in Barr. Labaran Magaji as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG). Magaji, the immediate past Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the state, takes over this key role in the administration.
Additionally, Governor Sule inaugurated the Sole Administrator of the Udege Development Area in Nasarawa Local Government, alongside the Chairman and Board Members of the College of Education, Akwanga. He urged them to be diligent in supporting the government’s agenda.
The governor, who had earlier dissolved the State Executive Council in January, has also forwarded a list of 16 commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening.
