As part of preparations for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Orientation Course, the Kaduna State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs. Efeke Murna Dadaza, has called on staff to work cohesively and uphold the core values of teamwork, discipline, and transparency in their duties.
Addressing staff during a pre-orientation briefing, Mrs. Dadaza emphasized the critical role of collaboration and synergy in achieving operational excellence during the orientation exercise. She charged all personnel to strictly adhere to the orientation guidelines and demonstrate professionalism both in office settings and at the orientation camp.
“The success of the orientation exercise depends on the collective effort of every member of staff. We must show commitment, unity, and discipline at all levels,” she said.
The State Coordinator also highlighted the importance of fostering strong relationships with stakeholders such as collaborating agencies and Corps employers. She urged staff to model exemplary behavior, noting that part of the NYSC mandate is to shape the values of corps members through leadership and mentorship.
In his remarks, the Camp Director, Mr. Paul Adikwu, advised camp officials to apply emotional intelligence when dealing with corps members from diverse ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds. He emphasized the importance of a proactive security team to maintain safety throughout the orientation period and urged officials to prioritize their personal health to avoid burnout.
The meeting also featured a step-down session of the national pre-orientation workshop, facilitated by the State Coordinator, aimed at cascading essential training and updates to all staff involved in the upcoming orientation course.
NYSC Kaduna continues to position itself for a successful and impactful orientation programme, with renewed focus on teamwork, accountability, and corps member development.
