Iyabo Ojo Reveals How she Was Raped Five Times and Never Met Naira Marley

In an emotional interview released on January 3, 2025, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo bravely shared her painful past, revealing that she was raped five times.

Speaking to Biola Bayo on Talk to B, the 47-year-old actress opened up about her strong stance against rape and her frustration with those who defend such heinous acts.

“I was raped five times in my life,” she shared candidly. “There are so many rape apologists out there. I don’t care who the person is—if it’s my son, I’ll go after him unapologetically.”

Iyabo also addressed rumors linking her to the controversial British-Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, clarifying that they have never met. “I have never met Naira Marley in my entire life,” she firmly stated, dispelling the false claims.

The actress, a mother of two, also reflected on her difficult upbringing, revealing that she was raised by her grandmother due to her father’s struggles with addiction. “My dad did everything—alcohol and drugs. It messed him up at a young age, and he died at 49,” she shared. Growing up in Lagos, she said she didn’t meet her mother until she was seven years old.
