Population Services International (PSI), the world’s leading non-profit social marketing organization, is seeking a Finance Officer to join its team in Abuja.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to PSI’s mission of improving global health by ensuring efficient financial management and compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Finance Officer

  • Department: Operations
  • Reports to: Finance Manager

Responsibilities:
The Finance Officer will oversee financial processes, ensure compliance, and support project implementation through responsibilities including:

  • Banking Functions: Managing fund transfers, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Accounts and Disbursement: Timely processing of payments, statutory remittances, and petty cash management.
  • Payroll Functions: Preparing payroll payments, handling tax and pension schedules, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Financial Analysis: Preparing budgets, producing reports, and reconciling discrepancies.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Background: A BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields. Professional certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) are an advantage.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in finance or accounting, preferably within an NGO or donor-funded project.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QBE), MS Office (Excel), excellent mathematical and analytical skills, and a strong understanding of financial regulations and donor requirements.
