The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has officially commenced its 2025 recruitment exercise, inviting applications for 3,927 positions across its Superintendent, Inspectorate, and Customs Assistant cadres.

The recruitment process, which began on December 27, 2024, aims to bolster the agency’s workforce to enhance trade facilitation and support Nigeria’s economic recovery.

Recruitment Transparency
The NCS has assured Nigerians that the process is entirely free and fair, warning against scammers.
“Our recruitment is completely FREE and FAIR. We DO NOT charge any fees at any stage of the process. Any demand for payment is fraudulent,” the NCS emphasized in its announcement.

Eligibility Criteria
Requirements for each cadre include:

  • Superintendent Cadre: Applicants must hold a degree from a recognized institution.
  • Inspectorate Cadre: Candidates need a National Diploma (ND) or a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE).

Application Process
The recruitment portal, available at recruitment.customs.gov.ng, opened on December 27, 2024, and will close on January 2, 2025. Interested candidates are urged to complete their applications promptly before the deadline.

Strategic Workforce Expansion
The recruitment aligns with discussions held during the NCS’s 61st quarterly board meeting on December 18, 2024, at the Customs House in Maitama, Abuja. This initiative is also tied to the objectives of the 2025 “Budget of Restoration,” presented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The ambitious budget, which targets N48 trillion in expenditure and N35 trillion in revenue, underscores the critical role of the NCS in supporting economic growth and recovery.

Nigerians are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity while adhering to the application guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful process.
